Description:
Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is a superhard abrasive with hardness second only to diamond and thermal stability better than diamond. Cubic boron nitride (CBN) will not react with iron group elements. Its hardness and chemical properties make CBN especially suitable for grinding ferroalloys and other aerospace materials. Cubic Boron Nitride processing materials: alloy steel (HRC > 50), cast iron, tool steel (HRC > 50), superalloy (HRC > 40), stainless steel (HRC > 50)
Cubic boron nitride is extremely hard, microhardness Hv72000~98000mpa, and hardness is lower than diamond. Like diamonds, cubic boron nitride is an insulator but an excellent conductor of heat. The structure is similar to the boron nitride morphology of the diamond, also known as the cubic boron nitride, c-bn, Β-bn, or z-bn (named after the crystal structure of sphalerite (Zinc Blende), is a widely used industrial drilling tool.
Improve grinding efficiency to a new level
CBN/cubic boron nitride powder is with high hardness and high temperature resistance, four times that of traditional abrasive in wear resistance, and have extraordinary thermal conductivity.
There are hundreds of raw materials needed to use CBN to grind in present manufacturing market, from aerospace superalloys and thermal spraying to the hardened steel in automotive bearing and gear industry to improve efficiency and get the shortest processing time.
